Timothy W. Jones

Timothy W. Jones is a member of the firm and practices in trial litigation and transactional work in the areas of business and commercial law, employment and labor law, criminal law, domestic and family law, appellate practice, real estate law, and zoning and land use. He has tried dozens of cases to successful verdict. Tim is admitted to the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri, the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri, and the State Courts of Missouri and New York. He is a member of the St. Louis County Bar Association where he currently serves as past president. Tim is a frequent lecturer and published author on issues of civil procedure, evidence and criminal practice. He received his B.A. double major degree from Fordham University and his J.D. degree from St. John’s University, where he won three Mock Trial ‘Best Advocate’ awards and was an editor of the St. John’s Journal of Legal Commentary. Tim was a prosecuting attorney in Nassau County, New York where he served on the DWI enforcement unit.

Jones currently serves as Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives, having been unanimously elected by his colleagues in 2012 to serve in this capacity. He is in the process of serving his fourth term in the Missouri House of Representatives and represents the 110th District, including parts of St. Louis and Franklin Counties. As a State Representative, Tim has played a key role in passing numerous major pieces of legislation, including 2010’s Health Care Freedom Act, which appeared on Missouri ballots as Proposition C.
