Our Firm Announces a New Associate
With growth comes the need for additional attorneys, and our firm is pleased to announce that Kyle Fry recently joined the firm as an associate attorney. Kyle has a B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis where he made the Dean’s List. He received his Juris Doctor degree in May 2023 from Washington University School of Law where he was honored with a Scholar in Law scholarship. Kyle will assist other attorneys in providing Business, Real Estate and Estate Planning services to our clients. Welcome aboard Kyle!

John Nations Joins Doster Ullom & Boyle, LLC
Doster Ullom & Boyle, LLC, one of West St. Louis County’s oldest law firms, announced that John Nations has joined the firm as a Member effective June 1st.
Nations, a native St. Louisan, served three terms as Mayor of Chesterfield and later as President and CEO of Bi-State Development for eight years. He has also served on many civic and philanthropic Boards over the years including East-West Gateway, the Regional Chamber, St. Louis Municipal League, HEC Television, Operation Food Search, Logos School, and many others. He also was the founder of the St. Louis Regional Freightway, which supports and promotes freight and logistics opportunities in the St. Louis region and has been responsible for bringing significant new infrastructure investment to the region.
Members Mike Doster and John Boyle expressed that adding John Nation’s experience, expertise and devotion to public service is a transformative development in the growth of the firm.
Prior to his election as Mayor, Nations served as President of the Chesterfield Community Development Corporation which led the recovery efforts after the flood of 1993 and also served as Chair of the Chesterfield Valley Tax Increment Financing Commission which financed the massive infrastructure improvements necessary to create an attractive investment environment after the flood. He also served Chesterfield as a Planning Commissioner and as a member of the City Council.
Nations has been a leading land use and economic development lawyer for more than thirty years and has worked with some of the region’s largest employers as well as countless small businesses to secure their commitments to the St. Louis region and improve the economic climate. In addition, Nations has led many regional initiatives including the 2010 transportation infrastructure campaign which was described as the best St. Louis civic coalition in fifty years.
Nations was educated in St. Louis attending the University of Missouri – St. Louis and then Saint Louis University School of Law. In 2011, UMSL recognized him as one of their Distinguished Alumni.
St. Louis Blues Alumni Launch Covid-19 Relief Fund!
Doster Ullom & Boyle, LLC is happy to announce the launch of the Blues Alumni Assistance Fund. The Blues Alumni created the Fund to provide assistance to local small businesses that have been negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Doster Ullom & Boyle, LLC assisted the Alumni with the creation of the Fund, and introduced them to YouthBridge Community Foundation to help manage the Fund. Doster, Ullom & Boyle, LLC is excited to see its clients come together to help the community.

Doster Ullom & Boyle, LLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Alec Moen and Daniel T. Manning to principal attorneys effective January 1, 2021. We congratulate Alec and Dan on their promotion. Alec Moen focuses his practice in the areas of corporate and business law, banking, estate planning, real estate, and bankruptcy. Alec is a board member of iTNGateway, a nonprofit which provides dignified transportation services to seniors in St. Charles and St. Louis Counties. Prior to joining the firm, Alec interned with Judge Raymond W. Gruender of the United States Court of Appeals, served as an editor of the Washington University Law Review, and was a research assistant for Professor John D. Inazu.
Daniel T. Manning focuses his practice in all facets of real estate, corporate and business law, and banking transactions. Dan advises businesses, financial institutions, and individuals on purchase and sale transactions, real estate development involving the use of incentives, lending, land use and zoning, and corporate governance issues.
